2007 ROCKY MOUNTAIN MEN'S MINISTRY REPORT

 

The Rocky Mountain Men's Ministry - CRMR met in conference September 21-23, at the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Colorado.  Thirty four men registered to come with 27  in attendance at the conference.   Our guest leader for the weekend was Rev. Calvin R. Wulf of Colorado Springs.  He and his wife have a ministry called "Living for God".  The theme was "A Journey of Faith and Service".  Session themes included "Abraham - A Journey of Faith", "God Guarantees His Faithfulness", "A Call to Service", "The Ways of Service".  Sunday his sermon subject was "As One Who Serves" - Luke 22:24-30.  During the business session Saturday evening,  Arlen Ward - South Broadway (Denver) was elected President;  Phil DiMartino - FCC Colorado Springs was elected President Elect;  Patrick Hines - FCC Colorado Springs was selected by the district to serve a second 2-year term as Three Rivers District Representative; Fester Prose - FCC Greeley was selected by the District to serve a 2 year term as Northern District Representative.  Rick Espey - South Broadway (Denver) will continue to serve on the Board as Past President.  Jake Ulrich - South Broadway (Denver) continues as Metro District Representative.  We need a representative from the Western District.  Rick Espey installed the new officers on Saturday night.  A discussion concerning time of year and place was had.  The officers and representatives will investigate and report back to the session next year.  Six men received scholarships this year.  Our Sunday offering totaled $330.  Thirty percent of the offering ($100) was designated CRMR Camp and Conference fund with the balance to the DCM designated fund. Church participation:  7(South Broadway CC-Denver), 7(FCC Colorado Springs), 1 (Central CC Denver),  1 (Lakewood CC), 3 (FCC Greeley), 1 (FCC Salida), 7 (Park Hill CC Pueblo).  (1) Leader.

Our next Conference is scheduled for September 19-21, 2008 at the YMCA of the Rockies.  Please put this date on your calendar and plan to come and bring someone with you.
